about the process

So you want to either create a brand or refresh one you’ve already got? Great! It’s so exciting to figure out who you are, what you stand for, and how you showcase it and I’m psyched you’re interested in letting me help you get there. Before we get into a breakdown of what you get out of this, here’s a sense of what working with me looks like. The full process typically takes about 4-5 weeks and includes these key steps:

  1. Initial Consultation

    • First things first let’s hop on a call and talk about you and what you’re looking for and make sure this is the right fit. If not then no harm no foul, I love getting the chance to meet new people. If things seem good to go and we are on the same page, we can move onto…

  2. Brand Questionnaire

    • I’ve developed a “get to know you” questionnaire that helps both of us sit down and really think about where this brand design should go. It includes both the basics like “do you have any color preferences” and “what kind of fonts do you envision” all the way down to “what other companies and brands do you admire” and “how should other people feel when viewing your final logo and identity”. Once you’ve submitted it, I’ll follow up with any questions I have and otherwise we move onto…

  3. Mood Boards and Color Palette

    • Based on your brand questionnaire, I put together 2-3 different mood boards and color palettes for various directions we can go in. Each mood board will also have some descriptive adjectives attached to it to help define what that mood board should express about you. Once we’ve narrowed it down to one I can then…

  4. Primary Logo Development

    • Once we’ve finalized the mood board and colors, I can jump into creating some initial logo proposals. I’ll provide three tentative logos in the first round, which we will then narrow down to one. Two rounds of revisions after the initial concept is approved are included, while more can be added for an additional cost if needed otherwise…

  5. Additional Logo Assets

    • Once we have a finalized logo, I’ll develop other assets inclusive of one alternate logo and one submark for use on any relevant materials. And when it all comes together we have the…

  6. Brand Guide and Delivery

    • Final brand guide! This deck includes everything we’ve worked on: mood board and colors, primary and alternate logos, submarks, and font choices. I’ll also include a page of curated stock photography based on the final brand that you can use to get started on whatever social or content you need. The final guide and all assets will be delivered via Google Drive and all logos/stock photography can be uploaded to your Canva if needed.
